What is NFC?

NFC stands for Near Field Communication. It’s the same secure technology used for tap-to-pay cards and keyless entry. In your custom ornaments, the NFC tag allows you to link a personal message, webpage, or video that plays when someone taps the ornament with their smartphone.

No apps are required for most phones — just a quick tap!

How to Program Your NFC Tag

Download a free NFC programming app (such as NFC Tools) from the Google Play Store.

Open the app and tap Write.

Choose the action (like “Add URL”), then enter your link.

Hold your phone near the ornament until the app confirms the tag has been programmed.

That’s it! Any NFC-enabled phone can now tap the ornament to open your message.

Sharing the Magic

Once programmed, your handcrafted gifts can be tapped by family, friends, or loved ones to instantly hear your recorded greeting, see your cherished video, or visit your special webpage.

Tips & Notes

Most newer smartphones read NFC automatically. If your phone doesn’t respond, check that NFC is enabled in your settings.

NFC tags can be reprogrammed — you can update your message any time.

Keep your programmed link active (don’t delete the file or video from its host site).
